
Notice the red circled area at the bottom right corner. This is where you can rotate your model around. I only use rotate in the perspective viewport. If at anytime you rotate in the wrong viewport, have no fear :) Right click the name of the viewport then move your cursor over views, and change it back to which ever it previously was before.

First tab which is create - 1. Select box. In one of the view ports "TOP, LEFT or FRONT" make your box. Size does not matter. 2.Rename it to col. 3. This is where you change the size of the box.

Now click on the MODIFY tab (Double check you done everything right first.

Now right click in the list, and choose "convert to editable mesh".

Now with the col model selected. Go up to EDIT and choose CLONE. Change the name there to LOD0.

This is how it should look. Click ok. Now select the col model. Then Right click in a viewport and choose "HIDE SELECTION".

Now we are ready to apply our texture. With LOD0 selected. Under the modifier list click the + beside editable mesh, and select Element. Then click your model in one of the viewports.
